On July 13th 2014, teams from the Euro Media Group delivered coverage of the FIFA World Cup Final from the legendary Maracana stadium in Brazil.


During the tournament over 120 crew from Euro Media Group companies have supplied the television coverage of matches from Natal, Recife and Rio de Janeiro as well as aerial coverage of all 12 host cities. In total, crew from CTV, Euro Media France, United and Videohouse have deployed more than 60 Sony cameras for the production of the international signal for 16 matches, including a quarter-final and the final. As is the case every year, Euro Media France deploys a very large setup for Canal+. Last weekend the Stade de France once again took on its « athletics layout » to host the AREVA meeting.

 More than one hundred technicians worked side by side together with our 3 OB units:

  • The XXL3: for the international feed of the competition (discus and weight throwing, weightlifting, pole vaulting, high jump, long jump, triple jump, etc.) with Laurent Lachand producing the event – and a double production with Cyril Martinetto for the javelin throwing. Since Christopher Froome’s victory on the Champs Elysées on 21 July last year, France Télévisions, host broadcaster of the Tour de France on behalf of Amaury Sport Organisation (A.S.O) and Euro Media France (EMF), wireless technology services provider for France Télévisions have been working non-stop, together with A.S.O, in order to offer television audiences around the world numerous technical innovations that will provide the 2014 edition of the Tour de France with the best broadcasting technology available.

World Rowing Cup : EMF goes with the flow

Last weekend from 20 to 22 June 2014, the 2nd stage of the Rowing World Cup took place on the Aiguebelette Lake in Savoie. The HFi5 OB unit and the France Télévisions OB production unit were installed in the technical area by the lakeside to film around 700 rowers from 45 countries, some of whom are Olympic games regulars.

Euro Media France was in charge of the camera at the starting line and the RF links on the catamarans.

Three world-leading innovations for the 2014 Criterium du Dauphiné

Euro Media France is committed to innovative RF technologies and has just introduced three world-leading RF innovations at the Critérium du Dauphiné on behalf of France Télévisions. The first concerns complete coverage of a 1 750 m tunnel; the second is the use of a SuperloupeTM camera installed on a motorcycle and the third is the installation of a Superzoom, a first for a cycling race. These will enhance visual quality and content enrichment for the last A.SO race before the Tour de France

During the fortnight-long tournament, our teams will produce the international feeds on courts number 3 and 6 and manage the commentator positions for broadcasters all over the world. EMF will also set up two RF wireless cameras equipped with Livetools technology for France Télévisions and provide stage set graphics for the Brazilian TV channel, Band Sport. Monaco GP : Still in pole position

The Automobile Club of Monaco has renewed its confidence in EMF by asking it to implement the technical resources needed to produce the international feed for the Monaco Grand Prix.
EMF has deployed around one hundred people, 2 production trucks, 43 cameras, 10 slow-motion replay systems, 3 RF systems and a DVS Superloupe camera in Monaco.

EMF was there for the crowning of PSG

Last Wednesday, we were at the Parc des Princes stadium for the crowning of the French Ligue 1 champions, Paris Saint-Germain. For the occasion, Canal+, who broadcast the match, set up larger production facilities than usual.
