After recording TF1’s flagship programs in 3D, a few weeks ago Euro Media France carried out the first 3D filming for the information channel of the same group: LCI. The hi-tech “Full Screen” program therefore offered a special episode of Summer Shopping in 3D.
Euro Media France has set up an important system in TF1’s premises with a completely reconfigured set for the occasion.
For greater ease of use, the three stereographs were installed in the 3D XXL2 OB truck to work directly with the director’s instructions. The 3D video cameras with double object lenses have been positioned around the set.
The installation was carried out very quickly and without disrupting or modifying the technical installations used every day by LCI.
Carried out in partnership with Binocle, the filming took place in practically the same way as traditional filming.
To be used mainly for internal experimentation of the technology, the channel’s producers nevertheless chose to share the episode with the several thousand owners of 3D HD TV in France.
The episode was broadcast in 2D but it is now going to be possible to download and view the 3D version for free.
