Masterchef, a recipe lovingly prepared in our studios

Masterchef, a recipe lovingly prepared in our studios

After attracting record audiences worldwide, Masterchef has arrived in France, the country of gastronomy, and will be on prime time this evening on TF1!

Shine France is organizing the greatest amateur cooking competition for TF1 in which men and women compete in an attempt to change their lives by turning their passion for cooking into a real profession.
Challenges over several weeks will see who can stand the heat, and who should get out of the kitchen! They will also receive advice and judgement from the Masterchef jury which consists of Master Chefs and professionals to help them to improve.

For the gargantuan Masterchef menu, Shine France wanted to make a bigger splash than the original Australian program!
There were 5,000 candidates in the original version; 18,000 candidates presented themselves in France and the warehouse which hosted some of the selections increased in size from 2,500m² to 10,000m²!
It was therefore Euro Media France which catered for this episode in Studio 215 in La Plaine Saint-Denis.

Filmed entirely using Sony cameras and recorded in XD CAM HD, the filming mobilized the OB10 truck of our Belgian colleagues from Videohouse to carry out the casting in various towns in France. More than a dozen technicians and a fixed control room were also essential over the two months of filming.
A delight!
