For Euro Media Sports, the first two weeks of August were marked by the start of League 1 Championship football in France, then the start of the Top 14 Rugby season and the HF department cover of 2 cycling races: the Tour of Portugal (the 72nd Race in Portugal) and Vattenfall Cyclassics (a German race that takes place near the town of Hamburg).
A team consisting of 3 image motorcycles, one sound motorcycle and the traditional helicopter takes and satellite relays were set up for the Tour of Portugal allowing transmission of the plains stages, the hilly stages and the mountain stages.
The coverage of the Vattenfall Cyclassics once again demonstrated the synergies that are possible across Europe. Euro Media France covered the race using the high-performance HF facilities and 2 image motorcycles; Nobeo (Euro Media Group’s German subsidiary) made its fixed car and German teams available.
Known mainly for its work on the Tour de France, Euro Media France has proved once again its ability to often export its expertise and special techniques for HF cover abroad.
A new sporty start screeching into action!
