Euro media france at your service

Euro Media France has been busy this summer, with projects both large and small as well as a lot of maintenance and refurbishment work. Before the new audio-visual season begins, let’s take a look back over the services provided this summer. The sun may not always have been out, but EMF has kept smiling; always happy to serve you!

servED ON A PLATE !

A highlight of the 2011 festival season in the studios was the 24 hour filming of Secret Story (Endemol). And as well as the house of secrets, our Plaine Saint-Denis studios hosted the filming of Merci Docteur! (Sony), Money Drop (Endemol) and season 2 of Masterchef (Shine). In terms of drama, the studios were working flat out with the series Soda (Calt) and Interpol (TF1 production), season 2 of Doc Martin (Ego) and the new films from Olivier Assayas (MK2), François Ozon (Mandarin), Matthieu Delaporte and Alexandre de La Patellière (Chapter 2).

AN IMPORTANT TIME FOR SPORT

It’s that time when the championships are back in football (Canal+ and HBS), rugby and handball (Canal+), but the summer was full of sport too!
The services kept coming, with in particular: The Tour de France and Portugal (ASO), golf tournaments (Canal+), the Davis Cup (France Télévisions), The Women’s Football World Cup (Direct8). And athletics: Areva / Herculis (Canal+) and the World Youth Championships in Athletics (Chlorophylle productions), which saw the champions of tomorrow competing.

NEW TERRITORY

EMF has been working at a number of unbelievable locations to film events: in front of the Lourdes basilica for the new show from Robert Hossein, Une femme s'appelle Marie (Prod), opposite the Eiffel Tower for the SOS Racisme concert (Entertainment Compagnie), on the steps of Sacré Coeur for the Mega Jump de Taïg Khris (W9), in the Théâtre Antique of Vienne for the Festival de Jazz (Zycopolis), on the famous stages of the Francofolies de la Rochelle festival (Morgane), in the Wagram hall for the new show La meilleure danse (Studios 89) and in the 8 hectare Kerampuilh meadow in Finistère for the Festival des Vieilles Charrues (Sombrero et Cie).

3D EVERYWHERE

EMF has also been on the Rock of Monaco for the marriage of Prince Albert and Charlène Wittstock (R&G Productions). At the same time as taking care of the international signal and the recording of archival footage of the wedding, EMF was responsible for the 3D filming of the wedding which was broadcast live by Orange in France, Spain and Poland. Several days later, it was the turn of the Jean-Paul Gaultier fashion show: a 3D service broadcast the same evening on a big screen in the Espace Pierre Cardin for the national launch of the channel NRJ Paris.

SUMMER WORK

Summer is the ideal time to carry out maintenance work on trucks and studios: cabling, installing new equipment, improvements to interior fittings, mechanical modifications of all kinds… 2 OB trucks have benefited from the repairs: XL1 is now High Definition and has been completely updated with the latest equipment. OB truck XXL1 has also been improved over the summer, being completely refitted!

GROUP NEWS

Colombiana filmed at Bry sur Marne

In cinemas since 27th July, Colombiana from Olivier Mégaton (Europacorp) was filmed in Chicago, New Orleans, Mexico… and Bry sur Marne!

Filming, which began last summer, used all of Transpamedia’s resources (studios, lighting, power, cameras and machinery).

United Decor / HollandseHanden,
new name, new internet site

The set design department of UBF has a new name: "HollandseHanden". A new name for a department which has grown strongly. Hollandse Handen now creates HD sets and has established itself at the top of the world of interactive museums, public attractions, business premises and events.
